15 “But aJeshurun grew fat, and bkicked;
cyou grew fat, stout, and sleek;
dthen he forsook God ewho made him
and scoffed at fthe Rock of his salvation.

Judges 2:12

12 gAnd they abandoned the Lord, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt. hThey went after other gods, from among the gods of the peoples who were around them, and ibowed down to them. jAnd they provoked the Lord to anger.

Further Disobedience and Oppression

6 kThe people of Israel again did what was evil in the sight of the Lord land served the Baals and the Ashtaroth, the gods of Syria, mthe gods of Sidon, the gods of Moab, the gods of the Ammonites, and the gods of the Philistines. And they nforsook the Lord and did not serve him.

Judges 10:13

13Yet you have oforsaken me and served other gods; therefore I will save you no more.

Jeremiah 2:11-13

11 pHas a nation changed its gods,
qeven though they are no gods?
But my people rhave changed their glory
for sthat which does not profit.
12Be appalled, tO heavens, at this;
be shocked, be utterly desolate,

declares the Lord,
13for my people have committed two evils:
uthey have forsaken vme,
the fountain of wliving waters,
and hewed out cisterns for themselves,
broken cisterns that can hold no water.
